Thematic Groups bring together members who share a common interest in a specific area or issue. Currently, the Forum of Young Diplomats hosts one thematic group: the Security and Armed Conflicts Thematic Group.

The Security and Armed Conflicts Thematic Group provides a space for those interested in contemporary challenges to international security. The Group focuses on the analysis of armed conflicts, energy, food, and cyber security, the role of non-state actors, military alliances, as well as the arms industry and the global arms trade.
